Vatic Pro V-Sol Bloom Review: Forgiving Wide-Body Control with One Caveat
SaltNPepperPbThe Vatic Pro V-Sol Bloom is Vatic's take on a wide-body paddle design, built to offer players a bigger sweet spot, added forgiveness, and a stable, controlled feel. Wide-body paddles tend to appeal to players who value consistency and confidence on contact, and the Bloom fits that mold very well.
First Impressions

Right away, the wide-body shape stands out. The Bloom feels welcoming in the hand, almost like it's designed to help you out on slightly off-center hits. The balance feels solid, the grip is comfortable, and the overall build quality feels consistent with what Vatic is known for — clean, reliable, and well thought out.
Soft Game & Control
In the soft game, the V-Sol Bloom performs strongly. Dinks feel smooth, controlled, and predictable. The larger sweet spot really shines here, allowing for consistent touch even when contact isn't perfect. Drops, resets, and short exchanges at the kitchen feel steady and confident.
Control is easily one of this paddle's strongest qualities. The Bloom provides a connected feel that lets you know exactly what's happening on the face without feeling overly stiff or overly soft. Players who prioritize placement and precision will likely appreciate how forgiving and stable this paddle feels.
Power & Drives
Power sits comfortably in the balanced category. The Bloom isn't overly explosive, but it offers enough pop to drive the ball effectively when you step into your shots. Drives feel clean and controlled, and counterattacks come off the face with a consistent response rather than unpredictable launch.
This is a paddle that rewards good technique and timing rather than raw force, making it a solid option for players who prefer controlled aggression.
Spin & Shot Shaping
Spin production is solid, as expected from Vatic. The face grips the ball well, allowing for easy topspin and controlled shot shaping. Whether rolling dinks or adding spin to passing shots, the Bloom makes it easy to generate consistent spin without overworking your swing.
Hand Speed & Maneuverability
Despite the wider head, the Bloom remains surprisingly quick in hand battles. Volleys and quick exchanges at the net feel natural, and the paddle doesn't feel sluggish or difficult to maneuver. Vatic did a nice job maintaining speed while still delivering the forgiveness that comes with a wide-body design.
Arm Comfort — A Personal Note
This part is important to share honestly and humbly.
While the V-Sol Bloom performs very well from a playability standpoint, I personally experienced arm discomfort when using it. This doesn't mean the paddle is poorly made or uncomfortable for everyone — arm comfort is highly individual and can depend on swing style, strength, frequency of play, and sensitivity.
For me, extended play sessions led to arm pain that made it difficult to continue using the paddle consistently. Because of that, I ultimately couldn't keep it in my rotation. I want to be transparent about this because comfort matters just as much as performance, and what works perfectly for one player may not work for another.
Who the V-Sol Bloom Is Best For
The Vatic Pro V-Sol Bloom is a great option for players who want:
- A wide-body paddle with a large, forgiving sweet spot
- Strong control and consistency in the soft game
- Balanced, manageable power
- Good spin and shot shaping
- Stability on blocks, resets, and volleys
If you're someone who enjoys wide-body paddles and values forgiveness and control, the Bloom is definitely worth considering.
Final Thoughts
The Vatic Pro V-Sol Bloom is a well-balanced, thoughtfully designed wide-body paddle that offers excellent forgiveness and consistency. It plays smoothly, feels stable, and delivers dependable performance across all areas of the game.
That said, due to arm discomfort I experienced personally, it just wasn't the right fit for me long-term. As always, paddle choice is highly personal, and I strongly encourage players to demo whenever possible to see what works best for their game and their body.
If you've tried the V-Sol Bloom, I'd love to hear your experience — especially how it feels for you over longer sessions.
