I reviewed Vanwin’s budget Pro T8 before — this is their step up: the Alpha Power, a foam-core power paddle with a lot of juice.

On-Court First Impressions
Pop
Above average pop — pretty poppy off the face, with that hollow Inferno-like feel and a bit of softness mixed in. Reminds me of the Arronax Thunder, just a touch more hollow.
When I first used it, a lot of my returns sailed out — you have to lean toward using a little less power than you might with something more responsive like my RPM Q2 Widebody 14mm (my current top-rated paddle).
Out of the air dinks felt good — I was able to use it well there.
Control & Feel
Overall nice feel, especially on thirds.
Grit is average to slightly above average out of the box. Spin is solid — nothing crazy, but pretty natural for drops and placement.
At first I had more trouble on easier resets — a bit more unpredictable than my Q2, and it popped a little higher than I'm used to. With practice, most shots felt good; it just has a bit more juice.
The sweet spot is good, especially for an elongated paddle — consistent and big. I played some higher-level games and it held up.
Power
High-tier power paddle. Lots of pop and power on serves, drives, and putaways — you just need to manage swing speed so you don't over-hit.
Verdict
Vanwin built the Alpha Power as a power-first elongated option — and it delivers on pop, sweet spot, and firepower.
I still prefer my Q2 for resets and responsiveness, but if you want Thunder / Inferno-ish pop with a big sweet spot at a lower price than a lot of big-name power paddles, this is worth a look.
