Some paddles whisper… this one shouts.

After spending time on court with the 11Six24 Alpha Pro Power 16mm, I can confidently say this paddle lives up to its name. It's powerful, explosive, and absolutely not shy about it. While I can appreciate what it brings to the table, it ultimately ended up being too much power for my personal game. And honestly? That's not a bad thing, it just means this paddle knows exactly who it's built for.

First Impressions

Right out of the gate, the Alpha Pro Power feels premium. The build quality is solid, the face feels responsive, and the paddle has that "locked in" feeling the moment you hold it. Nothing about it feels cheap or rushed, it feels very intentional.

From the first few warm-up swings, one thing became clear very quickly: this paddle wants to go fast. The sweet spot feels generous, and when you connect cleanly, the ball jumps off the face.

Power & Pop (The Main Event)

Let's talk about the obvious — POWER.

This paddle brings a ton of it. Drives came off hot, counters were explosive, and overheads felt effortless. If you like to swing confidently and dictate points with pace, this paddle will absolutely reward you.

For me though, that power sometimes turned into too much of a good thing. Balls that I expected to stay in were sailing long, and I found myself constantly trying to dial things back. It wasn't uncontrollable, but it definitely demanded attention and adjustment.

Touch, Dinks & Resets

The 16mm core does help soften the feel compared to thinner power paddles. There is some forgiveness here, and with focus, drops and resets are doable.

That said, touch shots required more intention than I prefer. At the kitchen, the paddle still wants to pop the ball forward, so finesse players may need extra reps to feel fully comfortable. This paddle rewards confidence and commitment—hesitation is not its friend.

Who This Paddle Is For

The Alpha Pro Power 16mm shines in the hands of:

  • Aggressive doubles players who love pace
  • Singles players who rely on power and depth
  • Players with naturally soft hands looking to add heat

If you enjoy finishing points early and putting pressure on opponents, this paddle can be a serious weapon.

Who Might Want to Look Elsewhere

If your game leans heavily on:

  • Touch and finesse
  • Consistent dinks and resets
  • Letting the paddle do less of the work

…then this paddle may feel a bit overpowering, especially during longer dink rallies or soft exchanges at the net.

Final Thoughts

The 11Six24 Alpha Pro Power 16mm is a beast—plain and simple. It's well-built, explosive, and confident in what it offers. While it ended up being a little too powerful for my style, I fully understand why others will absolutely love it.

This paddle doesn't try to be everything. It knows its lane—and if power is what you're after, it delivers in a big way.

As always, finding the right paddle is about matching gear to your game. For me, I'll lean toward a bit more control—but if you're a power player looking for a paddle that brings the heat, the Alpha Pro Power 16mm is worth a serious look.
